Digital Sculpting

Digital sculpting is relatively new to my skillset. I've always wanted to get into CAD for a very long time. As software became more user friendly and after a semester of 3D animation at SJSU, digital sculpting became easily accessible to me.
This 2' tall clown head was done with fiberglass resin underskull, Latex skin, and fabric. A cable attached to a hinged jaw can be manually operated with a simple metal trigger.

A character based on another classic film. I did this project in college. The master sculpt was done with oil-based clay, then created a latex mold and then cast plaster replica. Painted with acrylics.

Props

Prop making has been something I always wanted to do ever since I was a kid. I grew up on a lot of film that utilized a lot of the classic non-digital F/X such as the mechanical puppets used in Star wars, the sets designed for The Labyrinth and The Never Ending Story.
This is another fan art from one of my favorite films Legend. It's still a WIP. It's around 15" tall made out of CX5 wax. I'm relatively new to waxing, so it's been a mighty struggle.

Traditional sculptures
Ever since I was very young, I took a big interest in modeling clay. If it was something that could be made into something else, I could spend many days experimenting with it. For the most part of my childhood, creating was a favorite toy of mine. As an adult, I still kind of see it that way.
